Liverpool's terrible form since clinching the Premier League laid bare with horrendous statistic

The Premier League table since Liverpool won the title does not make for pretty reading.

When Jurgen Klopp announced he was departing, Reds fans were extremely worried about what this meant for the future of their club, and rightly so.

But Arne Slot came in and took all those doubts away, romping to the Premier League title in his very first season, clinching it with four games left to play.

Since then, though, their form has taken a downward turn that has brought those worries among fans back up, especially after the start they have had to the current season.

Looking at the Premier League table since Liverpool won the title too, which consists of 15 games, would show exactly why Reds supporters are right to be a little concerned.

Liverpool are in the bottom half of the table since they won the league

When Liverpool beat Tottenham 5-1 to clinch the title towards the end of last season, almost everyone expected them to take their foot off the gas in the remaining four matches, which is what they did after winning none of them.

However, not many expected this form to carry over into the new season, with the Reds already losing five in the league, more than they did in the entirety of their title-winning campaign.

This sounds bad enough on its own, but when looking at the Premier League table since 27th April 2025, the day Liverpool won the league, then the severity of their situation is highlighted even more.

Since that day, Liverpool have played 15 matches, won six, drawn two and lost seven, leaving them on 20 points, as per Football365.

This is only good enough for them to be 11th in the league, one point behind Man United and 13 off league-leaders Arsenal.

To highlight even further how bad Liverpool have been, newly-promoted Sunderland, who have played four games fewer, are just one point behind them, showing how Slot needs to turn things around, and quickly.

Arne Slot has a pivotal period ahead

Following the conclusion of this international break, there is not another one until March, meaning this could be a big period for Slot and Liverpool.

They will have a lot of games to play, especially during the festive period, with this where Slot could save or even lose his job.

If their run of form carries on, lasting until the new year might prove tricky, especially as they are already eight points behind Arsenal.

Reds fans knew they were in a sticky situation but looking at this league table, it is likely a lot worse than many realised, and Slot’s job might be questioned even more.
