Carlo Ancelotti makes ‘guaranteed’ prediction about Estevao Willian after another goal for Brazil

Estevao Willian’s meteoric rise to the top only continued this weekend when he found the net again for Brazil in a 2-0 win against Senegal.

The youngster has taken to life brilliantly since his move to Chelsea, and now finds himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet for Carlo Ancelotti.

Brazilian media were wowed by Estevao in the friendly game, as he lit up the Emirates with a brilliant display both in attack and defence.

Carlo Ancelotti says Brazil’s future is ‘guaranteed’ with Estevao Willian

However, it is the Blues man who got the majority of the praise from his manager after the game.

Ancelotti told GE Globo that Brazil’s future is bright with Estevao in their ranks.

He said: “Vinícius can switch positions with Rodrygo because he’s used to it, and Estêvão has incredible talent on the right. It’s a surprise to see such a young player with this kind of talent.

“He’s very precise and very incisive. With him, Brazil has a guaranteed future.”

Chelsea have recently been linked with signing Rodrygo, and will also hold an interest in signing Vinicius Jr if the opportunity arises at the end of the season.

Despite that, Enzo Maresca could already have the most promising of the three available to him, and will struggle to continue to leave him on the bench when Chelsea return to club action.

Enzo Maresca must now start Estevao for Chelsea

Maresca has tried to protect the youngster who has already got a lot of football under his belt for his age, however he won’t want to hurt his side’s chances as a result.

He has started just four Premier League games so far, with Pedro Neto’s brilliance holding Estevao back for now.

With the Portugal international struggling with an injury, it might now be time for the Brazilian to become a regular in the starting side.

A strong end to the domestic season will likely see Estevao become a starter for his nation at the 2026 World Cup, with the pressure of replicating the likes of Neymar firmly on his shoulders.
