The Green Bay Packers are 5-3-1 on the season, but have lost each of their last two games. They are looking to get right on Sunday against the 2-8 New York Giants, who just fired their head coach earlier this week. Additionally, New York will be without their star rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who is in the NFL’s concussion protocol, and without wide receiver Malik Nabers, who has a torn ACL.
Indeed, this game has all the makings of one in which Green Bay can exercise the demons that have plagued them over the past two weeks. Unfortunately, though, they are also going into the contest without several of their most important offensive players.
Tight end Tucker Kraft, of course, is out for the season after tearing his ACL in Week Nine, and Jayden Reed is still rehabbing from surgery on a broken collar bone and Jones fracture. Additionally, it sounds like the Packers may be without one of their young wide receivers.

In addition to missing Kraft and Reed, the Packers are also going to be without wide receiver Malik Heath, who did not make the trip to New York due to a “coach’s decision,” which usually indicates a disciplinary measure.
With their wide receiver room already thin, then, fans were not thrilled when Matt Schneidman of The Athletic posted his observation on X that Savion Williams exited the team bus in a walking boot:

Williams has emerged as Green Bay’s kick returner, so if he is unable to play, it is unclear who the team will use to fill that role.
Additionally, if he is unable to play, that leaves Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks, and Matthew Golden as the Packers’ lone healthy wide receivers.
It is possible, then, that Bo Melton may see some playing time on offense again after switching to cornerback during the offseason.
