Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs showed up in an interesting spot before the Philadelphia Eagles game.

Finally, after a full week off, the Kansas City Chiefs are back on the field and will take on the highly-rated Denver Broncos on Sunday, November 16, for an away game. This game is an important one for the Chiefs, because they’re going up against someone in the division, and not just anyone. The Broncos are No. 1 in the AFC West and mean business.

The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off a 28-21 to rivals the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, November 2, and they’re looking for a win that tells the world the champions are back. But, before the game, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had some fun and showed up in a spot where he wasn’t really excited to surface.

Kelce, of course, is engaged to Taylor Swift, and the two are busy planning their wedding together. So, plenty of Kelce’s bye week may have been spent doing wedding planning and getting things in order for the big day. But, he also took some time out right before the Denver Broncos game to root for a friend.

Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Pops Up in Random Spot

On Friday, November 14, just two days before the Broncos game, Kelce attended a Kansas high school football playoff game in to support his former teammate, Anthony Sherman. He was there with former Chiefs player Blake Bell, too.

Kelce was seen attending the game between Mill Valley High School and St. James Academy, and the two teams were going up against each other in the quarterfinal round of the Kansas state high school football championships. KSHB 41 reporter Matt Foster reports that Kelce at the game to support his former teammate and Chiefs fullback Sherman.

Foster shared in a post on X that Sherman is currently an assistant coach at St. James Academy. While Sherman surely appreciated Kelce’s attendance and support, it didn’t result in a win. The team lost to Mill Valley 41-38, according to The Kansas City Star, but it was a close game.

Travis Kelce Compliments Another NFL Team’s Coach

During the bye week, Kelce went on his podcast, as he always does, but this time, he gave props to Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell for taking over offensive play calling during the team’s game against Washington.

During the Wednesday, November 12, episode of his “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, Travis discussed Campbell and had kind words to say about the coach. Both Kelce said they were impressed by Campbell’s grit and how he’s “incredibly intimidating,” even with reading glasses on.

“I’m not … around with that,” Travis Kelce commented on the show. “Just the traps coming out of the T-shirt that tells me I don’t need to bark up that tree.”

Jason Kelce said, “It’s the red skin that just tells you … his blood is just pulsing. He’s just waiting to explode with rage.”

Campbell play calling resulted in 546 yards, their most in a game since last November, and 44 points on the board. It’s the most posts Detroit has scored since Week 5, according to NFL research.
