Midfielders: Joao Palhinha, Kobbie Mainoo, Xavi Simons

Forwards: Rodrygo, Ivan Toney, Mohammed Kudus

Joao Palhinha has split opinion on his loan from Bayern Munich so far this term. The midfielder has scored some important goals and has the backing of Frank, but came under criticism from pundit Jamie Carragher recently.

CaughtOffside report that Spurs are keen on wantaway Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, but do face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester City. Fabrizio Romano has also claimed that the London outfit could move for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, who is expected to leave the Bernabeu in January.

A striker also looks a priority for Frank, given injuries to Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani. There have been plenty links over a reunion with Ivan Toney.

The former Brentford man could seek a Premier League loan to boost his chances of World Cup selection. There are big financial hurdles to overcome but ex Spurs scout Bryan King believes the striker could force through a move.

He told Tottenham Hotspur News: “If there’s going to be a choice for Toney, then it’s a no-contest; he will go to Tottenham. If I were him, I’d be looking to get out of Saudi Arabia in January, especially if a permanent move is possible. He and his agents should be demanding it. He could always go back to Saudi Arabia if necessary after the World Cup.

“I would certainly say that if he wants to play in the World Cup, then he’s got to be playing regularly in the Premier League.”
