Chelsea will hope to stay on course for a top four finish by beating Burnley when the Premier League returns on November November 22.
The Blues currently occupy third place in the top flight standings after cruising to a 3-0 win against 20th-placed Wolves last time out.
While Enzo Maresca’s side are six points behind leaders Arsenal, they are well on course to finish in the qualification places for next season’s Champions League.
With the international break ongoing and the January transfer window fast approaching, however, it has emerged that Chelsea are one of a number of clubs in the hunt to sign an England star.
As per CaughtOffside, Chelsea are increasingly keen on Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson.
The report claims that the West London outfit have been conducting ‘extensive’ scouting of the Englishman this season, and have been hugely impressed by his performances.

Both Manchester United and Manchester City have already been credited with an interest in the midfielder, who joined Forest from Newcastle United back in the summer of 2024.
Despite Chelsea’s interest in Anderson, the report claims that the London giants would likely have to make at least one major sale before they could move to sign the Englishman.
Enzo Fernandez could be an obvious option to depart Stamford Bridge to make room for Anderson, but it is claimed that Chelsea currently have no plans to sell the Argentina international.
Anderson’s current contract with Forest is set to run until the summer of 2029, but the club could face a battle to keep him at The City Ground beyond next year with several clubs showing interest in the player.
Chelsea are also said to be interested in Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo as they scan the transfer market for potential midfield additions.
