The score was already 17-10 in favor of the Cincinnati Bengals at this point of Week 7, but this game has a much different feel. The expected offensive duel has turned into a defensive field position battle. The Pittsburgh Steelers lead at halftime 10-6. Both teams scored on their first drives of the game before the defensive battle commenced. The Bengals will get the ball back with a chance to take the lead, and we all know how explosive that offense can be.
Credit to the Steelers’ secondary for keeping a lid on things, and the defensive front has made Joe Flacco uncomfortable all day. James Pierre and Joey Porter Jr. have played lights out on Ja’Marr Chase and company.
Darnell Washington may have sparked the team with his insane stiff-arm play at the end of the first half. We will see if that momentum carries over for the offense after the break. It’s worth noting that Aaron Rodgers was gripping at his left wrist on the final drive, but didn’t come out of the game.
