Right before a massively scary close to the end of their 2025 schedule, the Chicago Bears first have to get through their Week 11 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, but this might be the biggest game of quarterback Caleb Williams' career.
Williams is already pacing to have the best season of his young career, throwing for 2,136 yards and 13 touchdowns and four interceptions. He's added 246 rushing yards and three more scores in nine games.
Bears fans have high hopes that Williams can be the first quarterback in franchise history with 4,000 yards passing in a season. He's already proven how clutch he is with four comeback game-winning drives this season, but he still has big questions to answer in the Vikings game.
Williams has some work to do to silence the critics against the Vikings
The last time the Bears faced Minnesota, all the way back in Week 1, Williams had a decent game, recording 210 yards and one touchdown, while also adding 58 rushing yards and his first career touchdown. It was the fourth quarter where Williams failed the team as the Vikings came from behind to win 27-24 in front of the home crowd of Soldier Field.
Williams has struggled against NFC North opponents in his young career, going just 1-8 in two seasons, including a 0-2 record this season with losses to the Vikings and the Detroit Lions in Week 2. The narrative surrounding Williams and the Bears is that they struggle to beat division opponents or any teams with a winning record.
While a win over the Vikings will not crush the narrative with the Bears failing to beat teams with winning records, they can end all the talk of not being able to beat teams in the NFC North. Media members have already proven that they have no faith in Chicago, with Minnesota receiving most of the votes to win, despite the Bears being the better team at 6-3 compared to the Vikings' 4-5 record.

While no one likes to admit it, wins and losses are a key stat that defines a quarterback. Especially one that has been under fire for his accuracy issues at 60.8% this season. Williams has been the catalyst in leading comeback wins this season, but could he avoid it by performing better earlier in games and not putting undue stress on his team?

This should be a team problem, but everything falls on the quarterback, and luckily for Bears fans, this quarterback has answered the call so far this season. Williams has a chance to get a signature win in his career.
