Defense Now A Major Issue

What happened, Lavonte?

If you told Joe before today’s game if the Bucs lost, it would be clear to Joe that not until the Bucs get healthy on offense, this Bucs team (as of Nov. 16) is just good enough to beat bad teams but not good enough to beat good teams.

And that sort of held true after the Bucs lost to Buffalo 44-32 today.

But the Bucs are not now a good team not because of offense, but because the defense it _turrible_!

The Bills scored the most points of any game this season with 44 points. And that’s still after the Bucs had three takeaways. Three takeaways and the Bucs **still** 44 points.

Folks, there is no way in hell the Bucs win a playoff game the way the Bucs played defense today. No way in hell.

In fact, the way the Bucs played defense today, Joe doesn’t know if the Bucs can win the NFC South. How can you win four more games (the Bucs are currently 6-4) when you play ole’ defense like they did today in Buffalo? It was shameful!

Zero edge rush — what’s new? — and Buffalo receivers wide open like deer in an Illinois cornfield.

Joe is expecting Bills receivers to have a craving for corn on the cob tonight.

Baker Mayfield apparently unloaded on the Bucs last week for not paying attention to details. Good thing the defense took that to heart today.

Right now, on Nov. 16, the problem with the Bucs isn’t injuries to the offense. It’s the defense looking like Mike Smith found a hole in the fence near the Glazer Shed.

Good grief!
