Norway qualified for the World Cup after a stunning 4-1 comeback win against Italy, with Erling Haaland seen celebrating in euphoria at full-time.

The Manchester City star fired his nation to their first World Cup since 1998, exploding into life and scoring twice in the space of a minute. Italy led 1-0 at the break before goals from Antonio Musa, Haaland and Jorgen Strand Larsen in the second half, sealed their eighth consecutive win.

Haaland was substituted in the 88th minute to a wave of applause from the travelling fans at the San Siro in Milan. Prior to the match, he admitted he felt a huge responsibility to guide his nation to the World Cup.

"I feel a great responsibility to bring Norway to the World Cup. I said this for many years," he said.

"It's a lot on my shoulders and that's what I've been working to do ever since I came into the national team in 2019.

"I don't know if you want to call it history, or whatever you want to say.

"Norway has never qualified when I've been alive, which is a really big thing for me and to be able to do this. Again, I'll do everything I can to make it happen."

At full-time, the Vikings huddled together in a circle, jumping up and down with joy.
