The Jacksonville Jaguars have been struggling lately, particularly on the offense. Heading into their Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, they can't afford to have any more issues, as this game will have serious playoff implications.
Yet not everything has been negative for the Jacksonville offense. Yes, the receivers are dropping balls left and right, but the run game is still impressive. The obvious go-to there is Travis Etienne, who is still a very good running back, but there's another option that should be getting more snaps — and his performance so far in the first half against the Chargers proves it.
Bhayshul Tuten has been having a solid rookie season so far. He's not about to eclipse Etienne, of course, but he is proving to be a reliable No. 2, and his proving that the Jaguars should be using him much more.
Bhayshul Tuten’s strong start vs. Chargers should earn him a bigger role with the Jacksonville Jaguars
One of the keys to defeating the Chargers is leaning on the run; the Chargers defense is good, but stopping the run is an area where they struggle. And Tuten has taken advantage of this weakness, racking up a touchdown in just the first quarter alone.
Before the first half was even over, Tuten already had an impressive game, with eight carries for 47 yards. He also had a 10+ yard run, and alongside Etienne, has been dominating the Chargers defense. Granted, the Bolts are not good against the run, but they're also still considered the better team, so it's a good sign to see Tuten running all over them.

Tuten has been steadily proving all season that he deserves more time on the field. Etienne is more explosive, yes, but Tuten is a much more aggressive, physical running back. The two of them together could make the Jaguars run game something to be feared.
With the pass game having as many problems as it is, there's no reason Liam Coen shouldn't focus more on what is known to work. Tuten is a running back with a lot of potential, and he is only getting better with every game he plays. This Week 11 matchup isn't over, of course, and the Jaguars — along with Tuten — could still crash and burn. But for now, Tuten is showing that he is a powerful weapon for the Jaguars offense that shouldn't be ignored.
