Packers' Josh Jacobs Receives Update After Knee Injury Received Concering Outlook

Green Bay Packers star running back Josh Jacobs left the Week 11 game against the New York Giants with a knee injury. He was seen walking to the locker room moments after Jordan Love had also run to the locker room. Though Love returned, Jacobs was not so lucky.

Jacobs was labeled questionable to return, and then was ruled out of the game due to the knee injury. Though there were some concerns regarding the severity of the injury, the star back has received a major update.

Jacobs’ exit was not believed to be serious, but that apparently was the case. Following the conclusion of the game, it was revealed that the Packers‘ playmaker received an update, with the belief being that his knee is not season-ending.

Per Adam Schefter by way of Rom Demovsky:

“Josh Jacobs' knee injury is not believed to be season-ending, but more tests will be done on Monday back in Green Bay, per @RobDemovsky. I think anytime a player, especially of his magnitude, but anytime a player doesn't finish a game, you're always concerned about the welfare of them,’ Packers coach Matt LaFleur said.”

There were likely concerns that Jacobs’ knee injury may have been an ACL, MCL, or some other long-term injury that would have knocked him out for the rest of the season. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur indicated that there were concerns for the back, but those concerns are not as bad as they could have been.

Jacobs will undergo more tests in Green Bay, but the hope for the Packers would be that he will only miss a few practices, and not weeks.

The Packers picked up a big 27-20 win against the Giants, snapping their two-game losing streak.
