Cardinals Can't Find Way Past 49ers On Return Home

**THE STORY:** The Cardinals were hoping to bounce back at home in the second of back-to-back games against an NFC West foe. It didn't work out that way.

Despite big days from wide receiver Michael Wilson (15 catches, 185 yards) and tight end Trey McBride (10, 115), the Cardinals fell, 41-22, to the surging San Francisco 49ers Sunday at State Farm Stadium.

The Cardinals (3-8) got into a hole immediately, allowing a 98-yard opening kickoff return by Skyy Moore to the Arizona 1, the 49ers (7-4) scored on their first offensive play, and never really looked back. Arizona high school product Brock Purdy, back at QB for San Francisco after missing most of the season with a turf toe, threw three touchdown passes and didn't turn the ball over.

The Cardinals committed 17 penalties, a franchise record. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett threw for a career-high 452 yards with an NFL-record 47 completions and two touchdown passes, but was intercepted twice.
