Aaron Rodgers injury: Latest on QB spells bad news for Steelers

Aaron Rodgers might miss a bit of time after suffering a wrist injury on Sunday.

The initial concern is that the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback has “a slight break” in his left wrist, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who added it’s “shaping up” to be Mason Rudolph starting in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears.

Rodgers, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, has told people close him he plans to be back soon.

The 41-year-old suffered the injury in the first half of the Steelers’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Coach Mike Tomlin told reporters after the game that Rodgers will have his wrist further evaluated on Monday.

It’s unclear when exactly Rodgers was injured.

Rudolph came in for his injured teammate and went 12-of-16 for 127 yards with one touchdown.

“Mason’s proven in the past what he showed today,” Tomlin said. “That’s why we value him.”

The Steelers moved to 6-4 with the win, which was highlighted by two touchdowns from the defense, including a pick-6 from Kyle Dugger.
