Los Angeles, California, is normally a place of sunny skies and pleasant temperatures. The NFL has held several Super Bowls in the area simply cause there is so little chance of weather-related issues. The Seattle Seahawks will see some different conditions on their way to SoFi Stadium in Week 11, however.
Some in the LA area will be getting as much as an inch of rain between Saturday and Sunday, and that certainly could affect their homes. Landslides are possible for areas that don't get much rain, but then suddenly do. For people who live in the area, let's hope all is well.
The good part for the far more meaningless football game between the Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams, though, is that SoFi Stadium, the Rams' home stadium, is mostly covered from precipitation. Rain can affect the field and the seating areas, but only if the wind is strong.
Could weather impact the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams in Week 11?
The weather forecast for Seattle's Week 11 game does call for chances of rain between 56 and 69 percent during the game, which has a kickoff set for 1:05 pm PT, but the wind is not expected to be a factor. At no more than 4 mph, the rain shouldn't enter the stadium much and have no impact on the field.
In other words, the outcome of the game will be determined just as it should: By the players on the field. The Seattle Seahawks will be missing rookie wide receiver Tory Horton and starting center Jalen Sundell, as well as safety Julian Love, who is still on injured reserve, but overall, Seattle is healthy.
The same is true of the Rams, though they could be without good defensive tackle Kobie Turner. He is questionable with a back injury. Even if he does play, he might not be 100 percent.
Still, no matter the injury situation for either team, Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold is going to have to be very good in the second half, as well as get off to another great start to the game. His issues have come late, and he can afford no turnovers in the fourth quarter of Week 11, most likely.
