Aaron Rodgers Week 11 Injury Revealed

The Pittsburgh Steelers are clinging to the AFC North lead, but could be at a massive disadvantage as quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered an injury. The team was able to defeat a divisional rival with relative ease in Week 11, as they secured a 34-12 home win over the Cincinnati Bengals, but the veteran quarterback sat out the entire second half with the injury.

Let’s take a deeper dive into what happened and what the diagnosis appears to be.

The Pittsburgh Steelers may have emerged from Sunday’s game with a win, but may be without Aaron Rodgers for some time. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Rodgers suffered “a slight break” in his left wrist during the second quarter against the Cincinnati Bengals.

With less than 30 seconds remaining in the first half, Rodgers attempted a throw to the end zone, but faced pressure. He appeared to brace for impact with the ground and planted his left hand on the ground and suffered the injury. Rodgers would remain sidelined for the second half and coach Mike Tomlin revealed there will be tests on Monday to get an official diagnosis.

Rodgers struggled to get much going before suffering the injury as he completed 9 of 15 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown as well as an eight-yard passing touchdown. Backup quarterback Mason Rudolph finished the game and held onto the victory.

The Steelers have gone 6-4 to begin the season, but are only one game ahead of the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC North lead with both head-to-head games remaining. Pittsburgh does not play until next Monday against the Chicago Bears, so it will be interesting to see how they look going forward, but the inital reports are that Rudolph will get the start.
