The Eagles had four starting offensive lineman show up on the injury report, including Lane Johnson. Despite being healthy enough to play in Philadelphia’s Sunday night game, Johnson didn’t make it a full quarter before heading to the locker room with a foot injury.
Soon after he slowly made his way inside — under his own power — the Eagles listed him as questionable to return against the Lions.
For the second week in a row Fred Johnson stepped in for Lane at right tackle. Last week against the Packers, Lane did end up returning at the end of the game, but it might be time to let the lineman fully heal up before putting him back out on the field.
The Eagles are definitely going to need one of the best tackles in the league as they head down the final stretch of the season and into the playoffs, so now is probably the best time to get him as healthy as possible.
