Former Michigan linebacker Devin Bush Jr. played in his 91st career NFL game Sunday and recorded his first pick-six.
The No. 10 overall selection in the 2019 draft returned a Lamar Jackson interception 23 yards for a touchdown to give the Cleveland Browns a 13-3 lead midway through the second quarter.
Bush’s touchdown was Cleveland’s only one of the day and came in a losing effort. Baltimore scored 13 unanswered in the fourth quarter for a 23-16 victory.
Overall, Bush and the Browns defense had a solid day. They forced three turnovers and held the high-powered Ravens to 351 yards. Bush’s interception was his first since his rookie season and broke multiple tackles on his way into the end zone.
The 27-year-old Bush is in his second season in Cleveland (2-8), where he’s had a career resurgence. He has started all 10 games and is on pace to set a new career high in tackles, currently sitting at 66. He also has a sack, fumble recovery and a career-high five pass deflections.
At Michigan, Bush was a consensus All-American in 2018 and finished his three-year career with 193 tackles, including 19 for loss and 10 sacks, and an interception in 38 games.
