Eagles' Lane Johnson Leaves Game With Apparent Foot Injury

After sustaining an injury in Week 10, some concern remained about Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl offensive lineman Lane Johnson, despite officially coming into their game on Sunday night against the Detroit Lions with no injury designation. Unfortunately, early on in Sunday’s game, Johnson picked up another concerning injury.

Following the team’s third offensive possession of the game in the first quarter, Johnson was forced to enter the blue medical tent briefly. After he emerged from the tent, he immediately walked gingerly along with several Eagles trainers to the locker room.

It didn’t take long for the organization to further share an update on Johnson’s status after he was captured on the NBC broadcast walking into the locker room.

It was far from the update Eagles fans were hoping for. In a post from the team’s social media account, Johnson has officially been listed as questionable to return due to his foot injury.

If Johnson is unable to return, it will be veteran offensive tackle Fred Johnson who will be tasked with doing his best to keep Jalen Hurts clean in the absence of the two-time Super Bowl champion.

This should certainly concern Eagles fans looking for the team to keep their winning ways going. Simply put, Lane Johnson’s impact has proven to be hard to replace for Philadelphia over the years.

Over the course of his 13-year NFL career, all spent in Philadelphia, the six-time Pro Bowler has been a huge factor in the team’s offensive success. So, at least on paper, the Lions defense could very well start to get to Hurts a bit more consistently should Johnson be forced to miss the remainder of the game.
