Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has been waxing lyrical about the potential of Chelsea winger Estevao.
The Italian has pretty much seen it all during his illustrious career as a player and manager, but he says that even he has been surprised by the level of performance he has seen from the 18-year-old:
“With Estevao, Brazil has a guaranteed future. The amount of talent he has is incredible.”
“Estevao has [an] incredible amount of talent. It’s a surprise this level at his age. He’s good at finishing, has a lot of ‘magic’… and he works very hard.”
The Chelsea forward could star at the World Cup
Estevao scored his 4th goal in 10 caps for Brazil during the friendly against Senegal last week, and there is a good chance that he will have a prominent role next summer in North America.

Ancelotti is talking up his abilities, and it looks like he won’t be shy to play him on a regular basis despite his young age.
There is a good chance that Estevao could be a breakout star at the World Cup if he continues to develop at the rate he has been.
Estevao has settled in England extraordinarily quickly
While nobody disputed the teenager‘s potential when he first arrived at Stamford Bridge back in August, there are always question marks when young players move from South America.
Head coach Enzo Maresca has done well to manage Estevao’s game time. He hasn’t overplayed him, while the player himself seems to have taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.
Maresca joked that the Brazilian had already been complaining about the cold despite it not being winter in the UK yet, but it appears the youngster has managed to adapt to a new league, a new language and a new country extremely fast.
