Tennessee opened the game with a goal-line stand after the Houston Texans drove to its 1-yard line on the opening possession on Sunday, then started digging out of the hole with a 13-yard pass to Calvin Ridley on the Titans’ first offensive snap.
Ridley was on the field for the first time since Oct. 12 after missing the previous three games because of a hamstring injury.
But Tennessee’s momentum and good feeling ended on Ridley’s reception. The three-time 1,000-yard receiver suffered a broken right leg on the play and will miss the remainder of the 2025 season.
“Feel for him,” Titans interim coach Mike McCoy said. “He worked so hard to get back to where he was and, obviously, that happened.”
The Texans went on to post a 16-13 victory as the Titans suffered their fifth consecutive loss.
