Packers’ Malik Willis’ work amid Jordan Love’s injury absence earns blunt assessment from Matt…

TheGreen Bay Packers survived an injury scare to star quarterback Jordan Love in their 27-20 win over the New York Giants on the road on Sunday.

Facing the potential of losing three games in a row, the Packers had to deal with injury trouble to Love during the Giants game after he got hit in his shoulder. Love left the game, which opened the door forbackup signal-caller Malik Willisto make his first appearance on the field in the 2025 NFL regular season.

The former Tennessee Titans quarterback did not let the Packers down in the short time he was tasked to orchestrate Green Bay’s offense on the field. Willis completed his two pass attempts for six yards and a touchdown, which was scored by wide receiver Christian Watson in the second quarter. Moreover, Willis rushed for 16 yards on his only carry of the contest.

Love was able to find his way to the field later on to finish the contest, but there was no denying that Willis made his mark on it as well, despite a brief appearance, which Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur made sure to mention after the game.
