A former Ohio State football player has broken an NFL record: Buckeye Breakfast

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Former Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has broken an NFL record during what’s been an impressive third season.

The Seattle Seahawk became the first player in league history to record at least 75 receiving yards in 10 straight games to start a season. He broke the record in a 21-19 loss to the Los Angeles Rams where he turned nine catches in 105 yards. He breaks a record that was shared by Michael Irvin (1995) and Antonio Brown (2014).

So far this season, Smith-Njigba — who was the first player to surpass 1,000 receiving yards this season — has caught 72 passes for 1,146 yards and five touchdowns.

Players of the Game

Ohio State named its player of the game from its 34-10 win over Purdue.

Offense: Carson Hinzman gave up one pressure in 59 snaps. Luke Montgomery gave up zero pressures in the same number of snaps.

Defense: Caleb Downs recorded three tackles and a tackle for loss while only playing in the first half.
