LeBron James at center of police scandal

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to get one more finals run out of superstar LeBron James before he retires and walks away from the game forever. Unfortunately, James has yet to appear in a game as he works his way back from an injury he suffered during the preseason.

Although James has yet to appear on the floor, he’s been extremely active elsewhere. One of those places is on social media, where James has become increasingly outspoken as he gets further and further into his career.

On Saturday, James took to social media to insert himself right in the middle of an ugly scandal during a college football game between the Texas A&M Aggies and the South Carolina Gamecocks.

During the game, a police officer appeared to intentionally bump a South Carolina player and get in his face. James took exception to the exchange on social media.

> That A&M cop needs to suspended! That was premeditated and corny AF!! 🤦🏾‍♂️. He went out his way to start some shit. Do better man

Fans reacted to James on social media.

“They handled it. He was relieved of his duties for the game. Unacceptable,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“Its disheartening to see authority figures act in ways that escalate tensions instead of defusing them. A lack of accountability can undermine trust in law enforcement,” someone else added.

“This is his behavior while being watched. Imagine him behind the scenes. Not someone who should be in the position of ‘protecting and serving.’ Not with that pot under pressure,” one fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see what else James speaks out against this year.
