Quander told the New York Post: "He’s all good right now. He’s in good condition. He’s doing real good. He’s a soldier, through tough times. He’s fine... he’s fine.”
Boyd was believed to have been shot outside of a restaurant in Manhattan on Sunday morning with two luxury cares said to have left the scene immediately after shots were fired.
Speaking to CBS Sports, a spokesperson from the Jets said: "We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time."

An NYPD spokesman provided further details, informing ESPN's Rich Cimini: "A 29-year-old male (Jets player Kris Boyd) is in critical but stable condition at Bellevue Hospital after sustaining a gunshot to the abdomen. No arrests; investigation is ongoing."
The Jets had signed Boyd this offseason as a special teams specialist, while also being able to play cornerback with the team, in his seventh year in the league.
Boyd has had previous stints with the Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals, totalling over 100 tackles in his career.
He has been sidelined since preseason though, after being injured in practice while needing to be placed on the injury reserved list - effectively ending his season.

After signing with the Jets, Boyd stated how much he had loved to move to New York City to continue his NFL career.
He said: "I'm thankful for sure. You know, any opportunity is a great opportunity. And to be here in New York, New York is a great place. This opportunity, I'm very appreciative of it.
"I was excited. It still don't feel real right now. I think I need another day or two. Probably get in the locker room, get around the guys. I actually look forward to that. But overall, man, it's been a blessing. I can't complain."
