Ferran Torres has been one of the standout performers for both Barcelona and the Spanish national team in recent weeks, and the recognition for his resurgence continues to grow.
The forward has quietly built an impressive run of form, finding the net in three of his last four matches for club and country.
His latest contribution came in Spain’s crucial win over Georgia, where he not only scored but also provided an assist, further underlining the confidence with which he is currently playing.

His goal against Georgia carried far more weight than another mark on the scoresheet.
As such, he officially entered the top ten all-time scorers for the national team, which is a remarkable achievement for a player who is still only 25.
Simultaneously, he reached a tally of 100 professional goals. Out of the century of goals he has scored, 77 have come at a club level, and the 23 have been netted for the national team.
With Spain now preparing for their final World Cup qualifier against Turkiye, Luis de la Fuente was inevitably asked about Ferran’s status and whether the forward remains undervalued despite his performances.

Before giving his full backing, the coach shared a glimpse into their long-standing relationship.
“I met him when he was 16 with the Valencian regional team. I’ve known him since the youth teams. He can play in different positions,” he said, as quoted by AS.
De la Fuente then went on to express just how highly he rates the Barcelona forward, offering praise that reflects his importance within the national setup.
“He’s a spectacular player, and we often don’t appreciate our own players enough and Ferran is one of them.”
He continued by emphasising the forward’s reliability and value, particularly in big moments.
Before concluding, he explained, “He always performs well. We’re lucky to have him. We’ll see what position he plays. He’s very important for the national team.”
