Nick Sirianni shared scary message on what separates Eagles from rest of NFL

It certainly took all 60 minutes once again for the Philadelphia Eagles to pick up yet another statement win, with this time the victims being the Detroit Lions in Week 11.

The story of the game was the play of the Eagles' defense, which held one of the best offenses in the NFL to just 317 yards and stuffed them on five fourth-down attempts. In the first half alone, the Lions did not pick up a third or fourth down conversion.

Philly's offense did not look as good with under 300 yards of offense in the win, but they still got the job done when they needed to. After the 16-9 victory over the Lions, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni discussed what sets this gritty team apart from others when they play in games.

"As I watched football today, I feel like I saw a lot of teams waiting to lose. Our team's waiting to win because they know how to win. There's something to be said for knowing how to win and knowing how to figure out ways to win."

It may be ugly, but the Eagles continue to find ways to win

This has been the Eagles' look all season. They have struggled to look like the dominant team they looked like a season ago when they won the Super Bowl, but continue to take control of most of the games they are in.

While this Eagles team has not looked nearly perfect, a significant portion of their success can be attributed to the job Sirianni has done in getting this team into a position to win. That all starts with the culture that is being built in Philly and knowing how to win games the way they do.

A lot of the work the team needs to improve on comes from the offense, which, once again, like a broken record, can't find its identity. The Eagles' defense has found their groove thanks to the signing of Jaelan Phillips, who has instantly transformed this unit that struggled to create sacks and pressures for half of the season.

The Eagles are a long way from being the Super Bowl champs they were a season ago, but they are certainly looking pretty good at 8-2 and in first place in the NFC East and NFC. More wins like that, and no one is going to stop this team.
