The New England Patriots have won eight straight games and might be getting some reinforcements back ahead of Week 12.
Kayshon Boutte missed the last two games with a hamstring injury, while Rhamondre Stevenson was sidelined for his third straight game with a toe ailment.
Linebacker Christian Elliss (hip) and tight end Austin Hooper (concussion) also missed Thursday’s Week 11 win against the New York Jets.
Mike Vrabel was asked during his weekly appearance on WEEI whether he expected to get some injured players back as practice begins Monday.
“Hopefully. I expect them at practice today,” the Patriots coach said. “Once they get through that and we’ll move on to Wednesday see where they are and how they progress through the week. But yes, I think they’ll be out there today.”
Kyle Williams has filled in for Boutte, while TreVeyon Henderson has enjoyed some breakout games in Stevenson’s absence, including a three-touchdown performance against Jets on Thursday night.
The Patriots are 9-2 going into Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Getting as close to 100% healthy as possible would only benefit New England as it continues to sit atop the AFC East standings.
