Report: Kenan Yildiz's current wage demand is really good news for Chelsea

It does not look like Kenan Yildiz’s wages will be a problem for Chelsea if they decide to make a move for him next year.

The Chelsea Chronicle understands that Yildiz is a player liked by Chelsea, and the Blues and other clubs recently received a boost in their bid to sign the attacker.

Contract talks between Yildiz and Juventus are not going well, with his salary demands thought to be an issue.

Should Chelsea sell Enzo Fernandez to buy Elliot Anderson?

However, they are unlikely to be a problem for Chelsea despite the Club World Cup winners having a stricter wage structure these days.

Kenan Yildiz’s representatives asking for £5m-a-year contract

According to CaughtOffside, Yildiz’s representatives are demanding a salary of €6m (£5.3m) per year.

The same outlet claims that, as of now, Juventus consider that demand to be too high, potentially opening up the way for Chelsea and their Premier League rivals to make a move for him.

A contract worth £5m a year would see Yildiz easily fit into the Blues’ wage structure, so you probably cannot rule out a transfer to Stamford Bridge next summer.

The 20-year-old has been one of Juventus’ best players this season, so the Old Lady will not want to see him join Chelsea or any other club.

In 10 Serie A appearances, Yildiz has scored two goals and provided three assists.

Where Kenan Yildiz would fit in Chelsea’s wage structure

As per Capology, Raheem Sterling is still Chelsea’s top earner, pocketing £16.9m a year, a figure that Yildiz has no chance of receiving in west London.

Again, though, a £5m-a-year salary should not complicate things, with Liam Delap and Levi Colwill both thought to be on £5.2m, while new summer signing Jamie Gittens earns around £5.6m. That would leave Yildiz in between those players.

Chelsea still need to agree a fee with Juventus, which could be a problem for them. It is believed that Juventus value Yildiz at £86m.

The Turkey international will certainly be one name to keep an eye on in 2026.
