Philadelphia Eagles defense shines after frustrating Jared Goff in NFL Week 11

The Detroit Lions have big expectations of making it back to the playoffs as the 2025 NFL season carries on, but after their offensive output on Sunday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles some fans might be a little wary of a certain NFC team that is coming off a Super Bowl title in February.

While the Eagles have become known for their tremendous offensive threats over recent years, with Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown and Saquon Barkley leading the way, it has been their defense recently that has shown that they can carry the team on another Super Bowl run. That was the case again on Sunday when the Eagles stifled the Jared Goff and the Lions offense.

The #Eagles held Jared Goff to a 37.8 completion percentage tonight which is the NINTH LOWEST mark by a QB who has 35+ attempts since 2005.

Goff had one of his worst performances in an NFL game since joining Detroit and it was largely in part due to the pressure that Vic Fangio’s defense was applying all night that led the Lions to just nine points. That is the fewest Dan Campbell’s team has scored in a regular season game since October 2023 when they were held to six points against the Baltimore Ravens.

In fact, Jared Goff was held to a 39 percent completion percentage, which is one of the lowest marks by an NFL quarterback has posted since 2005 all while the Lions dropped to 6-4 on the season.
