Whitehouse’s Mahomes throws touchdown in Chiefs loss

DENVER (KLTV) - Former Whitehouse Wildcat Patrick Mahomes had over 270 yards passing and threw a touchdown in Kansas City’s 22-19 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Mahomes’ touchdown pass came in the fourth quarter.

Mahomes was 29-of-45 for 276 yards, one touchdown and one interception. In the fourth, Mahomes engineered a 10 play, 36-yard drive that was capped off with a 21-yard touchdown pass to Travis Kelce to give the Chiefs a 19-16 lead. For Denver, Brandon Jones (Nacogdoches) recorded four tackles.

Kansas City (5-5) returns home to face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, while Denver (9-2) heads into the bye week before returning to action on the road against the Washington Commanders on Nov. 30.
