Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green took a moment in the second quarter against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night to confront a courtside fan in the Smoothie King Center.
"He just kept calling me a woman," Green said after the game.
Green didn't give a name of the "woman," but according to the Associated Press' Brett Martel, the Pelicans' fan called Green "Angel Reese," the legendary LSU women's basketball player and current WNBA All-Star forward for the Chicago Sky.
Reese, who led the WNBA in rebounds this past season, has gone viral for clips of her missing layups and rebounding her own misses near the rim. The clips resulted in social media nicknaming her "Mebounds," which Reese turned into the unofficial name of her shoes under the Reebok brand.
In the first quarter on Sunday night, Green had a possession where he missed five shots at the rim in a row.

"It was a good joke at first, but you just can't keep calling me a woman," Green said. "I've got four kids. One on the way. You can't keep calling me a woman. You know? He got quiet, though, so it was fine."
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said he didn't want to fully comment on the encounter because he didn't know what was said, but he wished arena employees had gotten to Green and the fan sooner to intervene.
Smoothie King Center employees did speak with the fan for a few minutes after the incident, but he was not removed from the game. The fan told Martel he did not use any profanity in his trash talk.
"Do I look like a woman to you?" Green asked Martel as he spoke with media after the game.
Martel then said at least the "woman" Green got called by the fan is "a good rebounder."
"At least call me − you know, Lisa Leslie was a good rebounder, too," Green said. "She's older. Just don't be disrespectful."
