It is a testament to how impressive Chelsea have been this season that they sit third in the table without the services of star man, Cole Palmer.
Palmer has only started two games so far this season, with one of those being against Manchester United when he was substituted off in the first half.
The game which took place nearly two months ago is the last time the England international featured for the Blues, leaving Enzo Maresca scrapping for options as they wait for his return.
The Blues want to be patient with his return after seeing how successful that has been with Reece James, although efforts to do the same with Romeo Lavia have not worked so well.

Cole Palmer set to return for Chelsea vs Barcelona
It is unlikely that he takes part in their first game back against Burnley, however the magnitude of the two fixtures that follow would almost certainly require Chelsea’s best possible side.
The Blues will take on Barcelona in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge next week, and according to The Evening Standard, this is when he is expected to return to action.
Chelsea will take on league leaders Arsenal just days later, and the biggest challenge for Maresca will be to not overuse him and push him too hard in these two massive games.

Chelsea and Palmer disagreeing on return date
After two months out of action it is clear that the Blues’ star man will be desperate to get back in action, especially with the magnitude of games coming around the corner for them.
Chelsea and Palmer are disagreeing on when he should return, with the club keen to make sure he doesn’t suffer a repeat of the injury that has just left him sidelined.
Liam Delap’s return has allowed Joao Pedro to feature in his preferred number 10 role, and this has coincided with him returning to goalscoring ways in recent weeks.
The Brazilian has found the net in the last two Premier League games, however it is clear from their Club World Cup performances together that the duo of him and Palmer need to be utilised together whenever possible.
