The Houston Texans climbed back to .500 with their Week 11 win against the Tennessee Titans. Wide receiver Nico Collins was terrific, and his strong chemistry and connection with quarterback Davis Mills were on full display.
They have a good thing going during their first two games since Davis replaced injured C.J. Stroud, as Collins has found new life with the Texans’ backup QB.
According to Underdog NFL, during the two games with Mills as QB, Collins has 25 targets with 16 receptions for 228 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Against the Titans, Collins caught nine of 10 targets for 92 yards and one touchdown on the way to a much-needed victory. It was Mills’ only touchdown pass of the game.
This is the kind of connection that fans want to see while Stroud is sidelined by the concussion protocol. However, the Texans still have a long way to go to live up to expectations, but the chemistry between Mills and Collins is providing some hope.
They trail the Jacksonville Jaguars for the AFC’s seventh seed, but they have a path forward to the playoffs. They can get there if they keep seeing this sort of output from Collins and Mills.
One of Houston’s biggest problems has been putting away close games, but it was able to do it at Tennessee, thanks to these two. They will try to do it again in Week 12 against the Buffalo Bills on “Thursday Night Football.”
