Three musical icons to perform at NFL halftime shows on Thanksgiving

Jack White, Post Malone and Lil Jon will headline the NFL’s Thanksgiving Day halftime shows this year, the NFL recently announced.

White will host Detroit’s halftime show when the Lions host the Packers on Fox. The team also recently announced Eminem and his manager Paul Rosenberg will serve as executive producers of the show through the 2027 season.

The Lions will also partner with Feeding America to encourage viewers to donate during the game to help food-insecure Americans.

In Dallas, Post Malone will play the halftime show during the Cowboys-Kansas City Chiefs game. The show will help kick off The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.

“Jack White is a proud native Detroiter, so that just makes good homer sense to have him rock out in the heart of Detroit Rock City,” said cleveland.com Music and Entertainment reporter Malcolm X Abram. “Post Malone is from L.A., but since he’s gone quasi country and is wildly popular, his appearance at the Dallas game should also be very popular.”

In Baltimore, Lil Jon will perform the halftime show during the Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals game.

“Lil Jon is omnipresent in pop culture, and since that game will be in primetime, even folks with half-eaten turkeys will be asking, ‘turn down, for what?,’” Abram said.

The Ravens also said Tony-winning actress Renée Elise Goldsberry will perform the national anthem.
