Ex-Packers star Davante Adams hits incredible milestone in Week 11 Rams-Seahawks

It has been years since Davante Adams parted ways with the Green Bay Packers, but he continues to make big plays in the NFL. On Sunday, the 32-year-old star wide receiver caught a touchdown in the second quarter of a game in Inglewood against the visiting Seattle Seahawks.

Adams’ touchdown stretched Los Angeles’ lead to double digits. Perhaps more importantly, it gave him his 1000th reception in the NFL.

It was an efficient outing for Adams, as he only hauled in one of the eight passes from quarterback Matthew Stafford intended for him, but at the end of the day, the former Fresno State Bulldogs star wideout got his milestone — and the Rams a 21-19 victory over the Seahawks.

Following the game, Adams shared an adorable photo on Instagram that shows his son, Drayson James, holding on to the ball that he scored a touchdown with in the Seahawks game.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Puka Nacua led the Rams with 75 receiving yards on seven receptions and eight targets. Tight end Colby Parkinson had the other of Stafford’s two touchdown tosses in the game.

Of course, Adams wouldn’t get to 1,000 catches in the NFL without all the ones he made during his time with the Packers. In 116 games played with Green Bay, Adams secured 669 catches on 1,012 targets and turned them into 8,121 receiving yards and 73 touchdowns.

Adams also had 221 receptions on 382 targets with the Las Vegas Raiders. He had 67 receptions as well on 114 targets during his one-year stint with the New York Jets before joining the Rams on a two-year, $44 million contract.
