Cade Cunningham is getting a signature shoe with Nike: Here’s what we know

Detroit Pistons star guard Cade Cunningham is entering an exclusive club of players in the NBA world.

The reigning All-NBA third team selection and face of the Pistons franchise has reached a new six-year endorsement agreement with Nike. As part of the deal, Cunningham will receive his own signature shoe with the brand, he confirmed in a video for Kevin Durant’s sports media company, Boardroom.

"I haven’t really grasped it yet," Cunningham said.

Cunningham, 24, becomes the sixth active NBA player with a signature shoe deal with Nike alongside the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Suns’ Devin Booker, the Lakers’ LeBron James, the Grizzlies’ Ja Morant and Durant with the Rockets.

The shoe will be available in the second half of the 2026-27 season, according to a report from ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Cunningham regularly wears custom Nike Zoom GT Cut shoes on the court, stamped with his double-C logo. Now he’ll join the likes of Grant Hill (Fila), Isiah Thomas (Asics), and Ben Wallace (Starbury) as a star for the Pistons with a signature shoe.

Since being selected first overall in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Pistons, Cunningham has risen to stardom going into his fifth season in the league.

He posted career highs across the board with 27.5 points, 9.9 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game last season to earn an All-Star nod, his first All-NBA honors and push the Pistons to their first postseason appearance since 2019.

Now Cunningham and the Pistons are the top team in the Eastern Conference with an 11-2 record, amid a nine-game winning streak.
