Everton’s new owners The Friedkin Group have had a solid start to life at the Hill Dickinson Stadium – and news of a financial boost will undoubtedly give supporters glee heading into the January transfer window.
Everton had struggled on a fiscal level in recent seasons thanks to overspending by previous owner Farhad Moshiri, leading to an eventual eight-point deduction in the 2023-24 Premier League season, despite the initial punishment being 10 points.
However, the sale of the club to The Friedkin Group, who are also the owners of Italian giants Roma, has issued Everton with a new dawn, with stars such as Jack Grealish joining the club, as well as being given a hand heading into their new Hill Dickinson Stadium on the banks of the River Mersey.
And news of further capital being flooded into the club’s coffers on Monday has set fans’ minds racing to the January transfer window in the hope of more incomings to the playing squad.

Everton owners TFG have handed club £107m financial boost
News on Wednesday confirmed that the Toffees’ parent company, Roundhouse Capital Holdings, had issued £107m worth of new shares.
The money was injected across three share issues throughout August and September, with the cash spikes taking the total equity put into the club by The Friedkin Group to nearly £400million since December 2024.
Whilst the money could be to cover running costs, there is also the redevelopment of Nelson Dock next door to the stadium, the expansion of the ground for Euro 2028 and more.

But there could also be scope to bring new players in, especially with Everton in the FFP ‘green zone’ for the time being after overcoming setbacks in terms of points deductions.
And with defensive reinforcements needed, especially in an attacking sense, that could see Antonee Robinson as the ideal target to join the Toffees.
A left-back is needed at Everton and Antonee Robinson could be the perfect option
Antonee Robinson came through Everton’s academy at the age of 11, signing a professional contract with the club in 2016.
However, he failed to make an appearance for the first-team and impressed greatly at Wigan Athletic, where he was linked with a move to AC Milan.
That fell through, but he’s since been an outstanding performer for Fulham in the Premier League, racking up over 130 appearances for the Cottagers in the top-flight, as well as 50 caps for the USA men’s national team.

Everton are in dire need of a left-back, given Vitaliy Mykolenko is out of contract in the summer and Adam Aznou has yet to feature for the first-team, seeing Aznou mooted for a loan move away.
Robinson, by contrast, is still only 28, but he will have two-and-a-half-years left on his contract. His stock may have decreased slightly due to injuries and Fulham not faring as well, and with Everton’s increased riches, he could be the ideal candidate.
He knows the club well, and the ‘unbelievable‘ star could partner up with Jack Grealish on the left, and he would issue Everton with a long-term left-back to carry on from Lucas Digne and Leighton Baines’ legacies.
