Everton have some decisions to make between now and the end of the Premier League season

Everton are back in action on Monday 24th November with an away trip to Old Trafford to play Manchester United. They won 2-0 at home to Fulham at the Hill Dickinson Stadium last time out before the international break. Idrissa Gana Gueye and Michael Keane got their goals.

The Toffees turned to David Moyes as their manager during last season and he was brought back to replace Sean Dyche. The Scotsman has won 39% of matches since his return and his team are sat in 13th place in the table after their first 11 fixtures. Here is a look at six players who are out of contract at the end of the season....

Everton risk losing James Garner

James Garner: Everton risk losing the midfielder for free in June next year. Football Insider claim Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa want him. Moyes has recently said: “He’s been fantastic since I came in. I didn’t realise probably how good he was. He’s been so good. He’s played great in midfield and he’s played full-back for me as well. I’ve said a couple of times recently he’s probably getting closer to getting talked about for England because of his performances.”

Michael Keane: The Toffees handed the centre-back a one-year extension in the summer. His deal expires when this campaign ends and his long-term future is up in the air. Keane has enjoyed plenty of game time recently and his current club have a big decision to make regarding his situation.

Harry Tyrer: He faces a battle to get into Everton’s team in goal ahead of Jordan Pickford. The 23-year-old has risen up through their academy and although he was a regular at various different youth levels as a youngster, he has never made a first-team appearance. The stopper has been loaned out to Chester, Chesterfield and Blackpool to get some experience under his belt.

Everton have Vitaliy Mykolenko decision to make

Vitaliy Mykolenko: Everton’s left-back has been linked with a move away over recent times with Serie A and La Liga teams said to be keen. The Ukraine international, who has 50 caps to his name, joined back in 2022 after catching the eye at Dynamo Zyiv in his native country. He has since made 130 appearances in all competitions and has scored four goals from the back.

Seamus Coleman: The 37-year-old has been a great servant to the Toffees since arriving back in 2009. Prior to his move over to England, the Irishman broke into the senior set-up at Sligo Rovers. He has since played 432 matches and is a useful character to have in and around the dressing room.

Idrissa Gana Gueye: He managed to score against Fulham in Everton’s last game as they beat Fulham. Like Coleman, he injects valuable experience into Moyes’ squad and has played a lot of football so far this term. At the age of 36 though, the ex-Lille, Aston Villa and PSG man will naturally start to slow down over the coming years.
