Paul George injury update: 76ers star set to make season debut vs. Clippers

Help is on the way for the Philadelphia 76ers.

After missing the first 12 games of the season as he recovered from offseason knee surgery, veteran forward Paul George is set to make his season debut for Philadelphia against his former team, the Los Angeles Clippers, on Monday night, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

George has been ramping up towards a return to game action in recent weeks, and there were a few final hurdles that he had to hit. Now, he's ready to return. As a versatile two-way wing capable of knocking down shots on one end and playing solid perimeter defense on the other end, George will be a welcome addition to Philadelphia's rotation.

George will be entering his second season with the Sixers are signing a four-year deal with the organization in free agency last summer. His first season in Philadelphia was derailed by injury issues, both to George himself and his teammates.

In 41 appearances for Philly last season, George averaged 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per performance.
