Shedeur Sanders under police investigation

It’s no secret that the Cleveland Browns have not had the season they were expecting coming off such a dissapointing season a year ago. The Browns’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday dropped the team to 2-8 on the season, all but ending any remaining playoff hopes the team had.

As bad as things are going for Cleveland, fans finally got to see rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders take the field after Dillon Gabriel was forced out of the game with a concussion.

Sanders showed the expected growing pains of a first-time starting quarterback with no experience getting reps in with the first stringers. Unfortunately, Sanders also had some complications off the field.

According to Pro Football Talk, during the game, there was a break-in at Sanders’ home.

“Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders made his NFL debut on Sunday. While the game was happening, something happened at his house,” reported Mike Florio.

The details are still being gathered, but we’re told (per multiple sources) that there was a break-in at Sanders’s home.”

This comes just a season after many high-profile athletes, including Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Burrow, were victims of break-ins.

Details on the situation are still emerging, but fans have already shared some knee-jerk reactions on social media.

“Incredible. This is becoming an epidemic for athletes,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Off duty police should start ‘Cops at Cribs.’ If it had been in place before, Joe would have his Batmobile,” someone else added.

“Stole his talent,” one fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see if the suspects are apprehended following the investigation.
