Prayers pouring in for NFL legend Bernie Kosar following serious medical procedure

NFL fans are praying for former Cleveland Browns star quarterback Bernie Kosar after he underwent a successful liver transplant procedure on Monday.

Kosar was supposed to undergo a liver transplant procedure last weekend but it was delayed because of a setback. However, on Monday he received a new liver.

“Hey, I’m out and I’m feeling good,” Bernie Kosar posted in a video on X. “Just ready to enjoy the rest of the week and the rest of our lives."

The replies to the video were filled with NFL fans passing along prayers and best wishes to Kosar.

“Praying for you Bernie. Stay Strong!!” said one fan.

“Sending all the prayers and healing vibes your way," added another.

The 61-year-old Kosar had been on a liver transplant list for more than a year before receiving one on Monday.

He underwent multiple “aggressive” procedures last week in order to get his body ready for the transplant.

Bernie Kosar spent 12 seasons in the NFL, playing for the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins.

He was named a Pro Bowler in 1987 while playing for the Browns and also appeared in seven games for the Cowboys in 1993, making one start as Dallas went on to win the Super Bowl that year. He finished his career with the Dolphins from 1994-96.
