Former New York Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams was one of the biggest trades made ahead of the trade deadline, as the Jets sent the All-Pro defensive tackle to the Dallas Cowboys. Ahead of his debut with the team, the plan for the star defender has reportedly been revealed.
Williams has been one of the best defensive tackles in the league, securing a Pro Bowl nod in the 2022 to 2024 seasons, along with landing an All-Pro nod in 2022 as well. Since his debut in 2019, the young defensive lineman has brought in 40 sacks, including a career-high 12 in the 2022 season.
Through eight games with the Jets in 2025, he has one sack, three forced fumbles, and 32 total tackles. Now, he will make his debut with the Cowboys.
Though Williams was not active in Week 10 due to his being traded, he is set to make his debut with the Cowboys in Week 11 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Per reports, the plan for his output in his Dallas debut has been revealed.
Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Williams will be a “full go,” as the team is expecting him to get a defensive workload after picking up the playbook quickly since his arrival in Dallas.
The Cowboys have had one of the weakest defenses in the league, and they remain second-worst in the league, giving up 397.4 yards per game. Williams’ arrival could not come at a better time, as he will provide a huge run game advantage, as well as aiding in the pass rush.
Dallas is currently 3-5-1, and the team needs a big win to get back on track in the super competitive NFC. Though they are not eliminated yet, the Cowboys will need to string together some wins to stay relevant.
The Raiders are a much worse team on paper, and the Cowboys need to take advantage of the matchup. With Williams now in the lineup, the defense could see a major bump.
