Cam Skattebo won’t suit up for the New York Giants again this season, but that didn’t stop him from throwing down at Madison Square Garden on Monday night. The rookie running back showed up to WWE Raw with a few teammates and comedian Andrew Schulz, ready to enjoy some wrestling from ringside.
What he got instead was a front-row ticket to chaos. Members of Judgment Day, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Dominik Mysterio, decided to stir things up with the group. Mysterio took particular aim at Schulz, mocking New York’s championship drought with the kind of trash talk that would make any fan’s blood boil.

Then he turned his attention to Skattebo. “Can you count, Cam? How many years? He don’t know. He can’t count,” Mysterio taunted before shoving Schulz back into his seat.
That was all it took. The young NFL star stepped right up to Mysterio, refusing to back down despite the ankle injury that ended his season just weeks earlier.

When McDonagh decided to join in and chirp at the Giants rookie, Skattebo responded by tossing him straight to the floor. Both sides erupted into a scuffle, and Skattebo was right there in the middle of it all.
The whole scene felt like a fitting display of fire from a guy who’s had to watch his rookie campaign end in the cruelest way possible. Back in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles, Skattebo went down with a devastating ankle injury during the second quarter.

Jaxson Dart hit him on a pass over the middle, and as Eagles linebacker Zack Baun dragged him to the turf, Skattebo’s right leg got trapped beneath him. When he rolled onto his back, his ankle was sitting at an angle nobody wants to see.

Medical staff moved fast, stabilizing his leg in an air cast before carting him off and transporting him to a nearby hospital. He underwent emergency surgery for an open ankle dislocation, along with repairs to a fractured fibula and a torn deltoid ligament.
The injury officially shut down his season. However, he’s still got some fight left in him.
