Everton are assessing the number nine market ahead of the January transfer window, which opens in just over six weeks.
David Moyes’ side have fallen short in numerous games due to Beto and Thierno Barry’s profligate nature this season.
The £60m duo have netted just one Premier League goal between them, so Everton will be forced to dip into the market for further attacking reinforcements this winter.
AZ Alkmaar centre-forward Troy Parrott is on Moyes’ radar, and so too is Ivan Toney. Although, Alan Myers has poured cold water on a Toney transfer.
Myers believes the Toffees should target a striker with Premier League experience, and with that said, here are three potential options this January.

Joshua Zirkzee – Manchester United
Everton News exclusively revealed last month that Moyes is considering a move to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United.
Zirkzee is keen to leave Old Trafford after falling down the pecking order under Rubem Amorim, so it should be a fairly straightforward deal to do.
The Netherlands international is open to joining another club in England as he aims to get back into the Dutch squad in time for the World Cup next summer.

The 24-year-old’s best form came at Bologna, where he netted 12 goals whilst laying on seven assists in his final season before leaving for United in 2024.
Danny Welbeck – Brighton
Indeed, Brighton’s Danny Welbeck would only be a stopgap, but he’d be exactly what Everton need right now.
Barry is clearly a very talented striker, he just needs an experienced and prolific frontman to learn from, and Beto isn’t providing that.
Welbeck, who’s already netted six Premier League goals this term, would be a great role model for the young Frenchman, and he’d be able to help the Toffees achieve their short-term goals.
Moyes would probably get at least 18 months out of the 34-year-old. The only issue would be whether Brighton would sanction a sale mid-season.
It’s certainly not out of the realms of possibility, as the Seagulls have spent a fortune on Greek forward Charalampos Kostoulas in the summer.
