WEBSTER’S SON CONGRATULATES HEYWARD
Cam Heyward has built a legacy worthy of the Pro Football Hall of Fame with the Steelers. He’s been in the league for 15 seasons, and he’s been one of the best defensive linemen in the league for most of that time. Heyward has been named a First-team All-Pro four times, a Second-team All-Pro once, and he’s made seven Pro Bowls. However, he’s still adding accolades to his resumé.
Heyward played in his 221st game in Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals. That broke a tie with former Steelers center Mike Webster for the second-most games played as a Steeler. While Webster unfortunately passed away in 2002, his son, Garrett Webster, congratulated Heyward for the accomplishment on Twitter. It’s a great honor, and it’s nice of Webster to say that.
TIMMONS’ SON TOP-RANKED CB
Lawrence Timmons was a linebacker for the Steelers from 2007-2016. He was the team’s first draft pick with Mike Tomlin as head coach, and he put together a solid career. He made one Pro Bowl, was named a Second-team All-Pro once, and won a Super Bowl. While Timmons’ career is over, his son is in the middle of his own football journey.
Jay Timmons is currently a senior in high school, but according to Hayes Fawcett on Twitter, he’s the number one-ranked corner in the 2026 college football class. He’s committed to Ohio State at the moment. While he’s yet to play college football, this is a good start for him. Hopefully, he continues on an upward trajectory.
DOLPHINS CB INJURED
The Steelers just beat the Cincinnati Bengals, putting them at 6-4. However, they still shouldn’t feel comfortable. The Baltimore Ravens are still right behind them. Also, Aaron Rodgers could miss some time. The Steelers’ schedule appears daunting as well. The Miami Dolphins are one of their less intimidating remaining opponents, and their team is also dealing with injury issues.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport announced on Twitter that Dolphins corner JuJu Brents is set to have season-ending foot surgery. He joined the Dolphins this year after a middling start to his career with the Indianapolis Colts. He’d been a little better with the Dolphins, appearing in seven games and recording two starts with them. Unfortunately, his season is over.
