Packers WR Romeo Doubs’ banged-up face gets explanation amid injury concerns

The Green Bay Packers still have some fixing to do on their offense, but at least they stopped their bleeding by defeating the New York Giants in Week 11 last Sunday, 27-20.

Having improved to 6-3-1 in the 2025 NFL season, it’s on to the next one for Green Bay, which is scheduled to face the Minnesota Vikings in a divisional rivalry game at Lambeau Field in Week 12.

The Packers aren’t out of the woods yet, just because they prevented a three-game losing skid, so they will need as many hands on deck as possible for the Vikings game.

Wide receiver Romeo Doubs is among those with a big role in Green Bay’s attack, but he left some worried when he seemingly got shaken up after falling on his head against the Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. Fortunately for Doubs and the Packers, he didn’t seem hurt enough to warrant an injury label.

On Monday, Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur provided some clarity on what happened to Doubs, who led the Packers in Week 11 with 53 receiving yards on four receptions and eight targets.

Via Zach Kruse of Packers Wire:

On Romeo Doubs, who was shaken up a few times during the game Sunday: “I’m not quite sure. It sounded like that’s what happened, he got some of those (black field pebbles) in his eyes. Did you guys see him post game? He looked like he was in a boxing match with someone, his helmet slid down, his eyes were a little puffy. Speaks to how tough Rome is.”

Doubs also leads Green Bay so far this season with 499 receiving yards to go with four touchdowns on 39 catches and 64 targets through 10 games.

Doubs (87) fields a punt during the second quarter of their game against the Philadelphia Eagles Monday, November 10, 2025 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
