'Wonderful News' 'Glad To Have Him Back' Man Utd Fans Delighted As Romano Delivers Positive Injury Update

Man Utd defender Lisandro Martinez will be “ready” for selection after the international break, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 27-year-old has been building up his fitness whilst he’s away with Argentina over the last 10 days, and he is expected to be available for the Red Devils’ next game against Everton.

Martinez has been a lynchpin in United’s defence since his move from Ajax in 2022, and fans on X are very happy to hear that he will be returning to action:

So we’re really getting Butcher back after the break? Is the league finally in danger again? 🤨

Martinez has been on the sidelines for a long time

The Argentinian international was stretchered off against Crystal Palace last February after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.

He has spent the best part of nine months in rehab, but he has been taking part in full training since the end of October and it appears that it won’t be long before he gets some minutes off the bench.

The latest Man Utd injury news

Benjamin Sesko is set to be out for several weeks after picking up a knee injury during the 2-2 draw against Tottenham earlier this month.

Harry Maguire also sustained a hamstring problem in the same game, having been forced off midway through the second half.

Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro are both set to be back for the Everton match. The former missed the Spurs fixture due to a knock, but the issue is not thought to be serious.

Casemiro, meanwhile, started and scored for Brazil in a friendly against Senegal, so there are no concerns about his fitness.
