**Tell us about the OLSC…**
Our journey began on June 1, 2008, when a small group of passionate Liverpool fans met at a park in central Mumbai for a casual kickabout. About 20 strangers came together that day, but from the very first moment it felt like family. That meeting sparked something special and from there, OLSC Mumbai was born and created to give Liverpool supporters an opportunity to come together, celebrate the club, and share the joy of being a fan.
Back then watching football in pubs was still a relatively new idea in Mumbai. Only a handful showed up for our first screening, but the passion was undeniable. By the end of the 2008-09 season we had built a regular crowd of over 50 fans.
Social media helped us grow and over time so did our community. Today, we have over 1,000 registered fans and more than 100 official members along with hundreds more who join us week in and week out. Some of our biggest screenings have seen close to two thousand supporters come together in true Liverpool spirit.
**How special is it to have the supporters club where you are?**
Mumbai is loud, fast, chaotic and full of dreams. In the middle of all that madness, to have a space where Liverpool fans can come together is something truly special. We may be far from Anfield, but every time we gather, it feels like we're right there on the Kop.
In a city where cricket dominates every corner, having a space that belongs to football lovers, especially Reds, feels like finding treasure. It's where we sing our hearts out, laugh at old memories, scream at missed chances and cry tears of joy or heartbreak.
This club is our second home, our little piece of L4 in the heart of Mumbai. It's where our red family comes alive and where we do everything we can to bring the Anfield atmosphere to life 4,000 miles away.
**It must give you a sense of community and connection to Liverpool and the club…**
Absolutely. When we received official recognition from LFC in 2013 and it felt like more than a milestone. It wasn't just about access to events, legends, or ticket opportunities. It was about being embraced by a family we had always felt part of.
We were no longer just a group of passionate fans watching from afar. We became a true extension of the club's spirit right here in Mumbai. Suddenly, every cheer, every song, every win and every loss felt even more personal. We found our voice in a global chorus.
The connection to Anfield, to the Kop, to Reds across the world, gives us strength. It reminds us that no matter where we are, we are part of something powerful and unbreakable. We knew then, and we know now, that we never walk alone.
