November 18 – Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain are on a collision course after the France striker launched a legal claim against his old club.

According to _Le Parisien_, Mbappé is seeking €250 million from PSG, claiming the club cost him massive earnings after his 2024 departure. The Real Madrid superstar, who has a rumoured net worth of €250 million, claims through his lawyers that the club failed to convert his fixed-term deal into a permanent one and still owe him €55 million in unpaid wages and bonuses.

Mbappés’ lawyer, Delphine Weil-Heden, said: “This is simply a matter of an employee facing an employer who has failed to pay wages.” She added that Mbappé “is committed to defending his rights, not only for himself but for all other players who have been wronged by the club.”

PSG, who are owned by Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), net worth $10.4 billion, fired back, demanding €440 million and accusing Mbappé of misleading them after supposedly promising he wouldn’t walk away for free during his last contract negotiations. The club revealed in court that a €300 million offer from Saudi Arabia had been on the table in July 2023, only for Mbappé to turn it down before refusing an extension and leaving on a free.

PSG’s legal team called Mbappé’s account an “absurd narrative,” though that word might just as easily describe the entire saga.
